Community Activities
For decades, The Lonach Hall has stood as a welcoming space where people come together to celebrate, gather and connect. Over the years, we’ve hosted everything from lively ceilidhs and music concerts to cherished local traditions like, The Lonach Ball and The Farmers’ Ball, as well as weddings, fundraisers, and Hogmanay celebrations. We’re excited to continue that legacy with even more events and opportunities in the future.
When it comes to community life, we’re proud to be a home to local groups and activities that bring people together for learning, wellbeing, and friendship. We’re deeply grateful to the regular members and volunteers who use the hall, as their dedication keeps The Lonach Hall buzzing with energy and purpose, and we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
Looking ahead, we’re investing in improvements to our facilities to make the hall even more versatile and welcoming. We have set up the hall to be are resilience hub during local emergencies (learn more here). Plans are underway to introduce community cinema nights, expand internet and PA connections throughout the building, and explore new ways to make the hall accessible for a wider range of activities.

Managing the hall
The LHCA
The Lonach Hall is run by the Lonach Hall Community Association (LHCA), a small team of local volunteers working to care for and grow our much-loved community hall. Our current committee members are Kieran McGowan (Chair),Anne-Marie Hutchison
(Vice-chair) Amy Culpean (Treasurer), Joanne Davidson (Secretary), Andrea Fossa, and Alanah Gordon. We’re still growing and gradually expanding the range of events and activities we offer, and we’re always happy to welcome new committee members who’d like to get involved and help shape the hall’s future.
Volunteer
Friends of the
Lonach Hall
We’re looking to expand our team of Friends of the Lonach Hall, local volunteers who can lend a hand when needed to help us look after the hall and bring new ideas to life. You don’t have to join the committee to take part; simply contact us and we will add your to our volunteer list, we will then get in touch when we need help. Whether it’s weeding, painting, tidying up, setting up for a community fundraiser, or putting up posters, no job is too small, and every bit of help makes a real difference. If you’d like to be a Friend of Lonach, we’d love to hear from you!
