Project Uplift – Restoration Plans for Lonach Hall
We're delighted to announce that funding has been secured for the first stage of Project Uplift. The Lonach Hall has been awarded grants from the Cairngorms Trust through the Community Led Vision Fund and from the David & June Gordon Memorial Fund.
This initial phase will involve a detailed building appraisal of the historic Lonach Hall, helping to shape future restoration and improvement works aimed at preserving and enhancing this important community asset.
Proposed works include window repairs and replacement, restoration of original cast iron gutters, external timber repairs, gazebo restoration and repairs to the main hall floor, all in line with conservation requirements for the listed building.
Hall bookings and regular activities will continue as normal.

Volunteers needed
We're looking for a few practical, hands-on people who would like to help support The Lonach Hall and its activities.
This could involve helping with general hall maintenance and repairs, assisting at events, setting up and clearing away, or lending a hand with other tasks that help keep the hall running smoothly. Roles are flexible and can be shared between several volunteers.
We're looking for people who are happy to take the initiative, work independently when needed and coordinate with the Hall Committee. Experience in maintenance, events or community volunteering is welcome but not essential - a willingness to help and get involved is what matters most.
If you're interested or would like an informal chat about volunteering with The Lonach Hall, please contact The Lonach Hall Community Association at enquiries@lonach-hall.com
